Welcome to the MIS office

These are some of the main areas this office is responsible for- 

1. Maintain and manage the district's information systems, which include:

  • LHRIC eSchoolData Student Information System. Now hosted by BOCES from the LHRIC offices (formerly known as NEXGEN eSchoolData - updated Aug. 5, 2010)
  • SASIxp Student Information System (Including ClassXp and IGPro gradebook)
  • IEP Direct (Special Education Information System)
  • Groupwise Email 
  • Teleforms test answer sheets and data collection system
  • Instructional Information Portal
  • VADIRS (new Student Discipline Reporting System)
  • Website for central administration (being redesigned)
  • WinSNAP (School Lunch System in conjunction with the Business office)
  • Versatran (Transportation System in conjunction with the Transportation office)
  • WinCap Human Resources/Financial/Payroll system
  •   Security Camera System (at the Freshman Center; to be expanded)
  •   Johnson Controls HVAC system (new)
  •   Kronos time clock system (planning stage)

2. Computer Networks and Servers

  •   LANs and WANs - the wiring and the network switching equipment that interconnects the computers and the buildings together.
  •   Computer Servers - are the centralized computers that allow us to save/share documents, deliver software applications and control security access to the network.  We currently have 40 servers.
  •   Purchasing of desktops and related equipment for staff.
  •   Co-Coordinate the BOCES/LHRIC technical personnel on various administrative and instructional installations and repairs.

3. State Reporting

  •   Collect, maintain and transmit the various reporting data to the state and federal government, such as student demographic and assessment data for NCLB reporting.
  •   Assist the Office of Curriculum and Instruction with data review, verification and analysis of state reports.

4. Central Registration

  •   Office is responsible for the intake and document verification for all new students.  This office has become vital for the collection of accurate demographic data that is eventually used for our NCLB reporting.

5. Telephone Systems, Mailroom and ID Cards

  • Internal and external mail delivery and courier services 
  • Bulk mail preparation for the schools and district offices
  • Maintain and process employee ID cards
  • Internal phone and voicemail systems
  • Local and Long Distance billing oversight
  • Cell phones
