Website Careers Site Plan

Project & Enabling Objective:

Providing direct instruction, classroom demonstrations, and a variety of classroom website tutorials, student will create a website that showcases the career they chose to research in the previous lessons, Careers. Recalling student’s prior knowledge of material covered in previous lessons, Website Header and Website Background Advanced, using Adobe Photoshop students will construct a web page header and background that depicts images and/or textures associated with the career they chose to research. Students will construct a website containing 3 pages that will incorporate information they gathered about the career as well as images relating to the field.

How do artists group color together to create color harmony in their work?

What graphic design skills are needed to create images that work to express the theme of the content material?

What career opportunities exist for students who are interested in pursuing a career in art, design, or technology?

What is the nature of the work, qualifications needed, projected job outlook, earnings, and related occupations the field you are interested in? What resources will give us the information we need to make important career decisions?

Learning Standards

Art Standard 2: Knowing and Using Arts Materials and Resources. Students will be knowledgeable about and make use of the materials and resources available for participation in the arts in various roles.

Standard 1: Career Development. Students will be knowledgeable about the world of work, explore career options, and relate personal skills, aptitudes, and abilities to future career decisions.

English Language Arts: ELA Standard 1: Language for Information and Understanding. Students will listen, speak, read, and write for information and understanding.

MST Standard 5:Technology Students will apply technological knowledge and skills to design, construct, use, and evaluate products and systems to satisfy human and environmental needs.
